We are delighted that the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has appointed BECG Director, Verity Barr CMPRCA, as the Chair of its Built Environment Group.

The PRCA Built Environment Group champions the role that communicators play in creating places that are healthy, efficient and productive places for people to live, work, play and visit. It encompasses all aspects of the built environment including residential and commercial property, infrastructure, prop-tech, healthcare and education facilities, waste management and recycling, and more.

Verity Barr said:

Our sector is facing significant challenges. From the issue of building safety to the drive to create fully inclusive places and communities, there is an urgent need to rebuild trust and champion the positive impact that our built environment can deliver

As communicators, we have a key role to play in redressing this balance and the Built Environment Group will be debating how we achieve this, and more, over the coming year.  I’ll be working closely with my fellow committee members to put together a programme of events that will give our group’s members an opportunity to collectively drive this agenda forward.
