Group Business Development Executive

This is an opportunity for someone in the early stages of their sales career to be part of one of the fastest-growing communications consultancies in the UK.
We are looking for someone who can build on our enviable list of clients from across the property, infrastructure, energy, utilities, health, government, and FMCG markets.
You need to be a highly motivated self-starter who is not afraid to conduct outbound activities against target accounts, prospect lists, and campaigns.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in navigating key stakeholders and the B2B procurement process, ideally being exposed to senior executives (C-Suite and Director) in the sales process.
What you’ll need to be
- Exceptional verbal and written business communication skills
- Track record of successful lead follow-up and sales-development at senior executive level
- Able to build relationships across business units and facilitate effective internal communication
- Experience of using a CRM to make outbound calls/emails, create email sequences, and track and report on sales
- Capable of working collaboratively with the marketing and creative team to produce sales collateral
- Knowledge and understanding of the built environment sector
What you’ll need to do
This role is primarily focused on selling public affairs, marketing, public relations, and corporate communication services across the BECG, Cavendish Advocacy, and Liberty One brands.
You will report to the Head of Group Marketing and will be required to work alongside the Senior Group Marketing Manager to support the new business team members in qualifying and developing inbound and outbound leads.
Research and identify key players to create your own pipeline of opportunities. Provide sales development support. Understand and capture detailed client requirements whilst also expanding the conversation to uncover additional opportunity that might otherwise have been unknown to the prospect. Actively participate in exhibitions and events to secure attendees and maximise follow up meetings for you and the wider new business team. You will be responsible for producing regular reports to analyse the effectiveness of sales activity.
