Account Manager


What it’s all about

We’re looking for a talented individual with a background in public affairs, politics and/or public consultation to join our team as an Account Manager, acting as a primary client contact across various projects and supporting business development and marketing efforts.

You will support accounts across the development and planning sectors, inclusive of projects of all scales and natures with a wide variety of clients in the private and public sectors.

The role will involve leading on the delivery of virtual and physical consultation/engagement events and initiatives, meeting with political and community stakeholders, drafting strong copy and key messages and being a primary client contact across various accounts.

The role is within one of BECG’s London Business Units. Work is currently being undertaken remotely, but when Government guidance allows, the role will entail a mix of office and remote working.

You will have the chance to work with BECG’s digital, design, PR, public affairs and marketing teams to support client and business development work.

What you’ll need to have

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local and regional politics and demonstrable communications/engagement experience. A political background and/or experience of working in London, the Home Counties, Cambridgeshire and/or the broader south is desirable.

A background in planning communications or development is also desirable, but not a prerequisite.

The candidate will communicate well with strong writing and inter-personal skills, whilst demonstrating drive, commitment and a focus to producing work of the highest standard.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in being a primary contact for clients and project teams, with a desire to input into strategy from day one and to take the initiative in advising how a client can best achieve a client’s goals.
