Group Business Development Manager

London / Hybrid

What it’s all about

You will play a vital role in the development of new business revenue for the consultancy, building on our enviable list of clients from across the property, infrastructure, energy, utilities, health, government, and FMCG markets. 

Working closely with the Business Development, Group Marketing and client-facing account teams, you will be responsible for pursuing marketing qualified leads and sourcing new business leads and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, achieving ambitious revenue targets, and have worked in a similar role for a communications consultancy. 

What you’ll need to know

  • Track record of successful lead follow-up and sales-development at senior executive level. 
  • Able to build relationships across business units and facilitate effective internal communication. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written business communication skills. 
  • Experience of using a CRM to make outbound calls/emails, create email sequences, and track and report on sales. 
  • Capable of working collaboratively with the marketing and creative teams to produce sales collateral. 
  • Familiar with the tender and RFI process. 
  • Confident to attend trade shows and conferences to represent the BECG Group and source leads. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the built environment sector.  

What you’ll need to do

This role is primarily focused on selling public affairs, marketing, public relations, and corporate communication services across the BECG, Cavendish Advocacy, and Liberty One brands. 

You will report to the Business Development lead and work closely with the Group Marketing team to deliver the marketing and new business plans across the Group. 

This will include: helping to deliver webinars and events; supporting colleagues follow ups from our new business and marketing activity; helping to write compelling tenders and proposals; doing your own research to identify key prospects to create your own pipeline of opportunities; and producing regular reports to analyse the effectiveness of sales and marketing activity.
