Based out of offices in Birmingham and Nottingham, we are supporting some of the region’s most high-profile businesses and significant development projects.
Our multi-disciplinary team offers expertise in public affairs, planning communications, stakeholder engagement, corporate communications, government relations, public relations and marketing.

Max has overall responsibility for BECG’s service delivery to clients across a range of sectors in London and the South East. With over 15 years’ experience in delivering effective planning communications and community engagement across public and private sector, Max has led the communications for some of London’s most complex development projects. He provided planning and political counsel for clients such as the Berkeley Group, British Land, and Frasers Property. In his previous work, Max provided political and communications expertise to the leadership of a London local authority and excels in his understanding and knowledge of the political process in local and regional government.

Kevin Whitmore

Kevin is an experienced local government communications consultant who specialises in planning communications, political advocacy and community campaigning for clients across the built environment.
He has over 12 years’ experience working with both public and private sector clients and leads BECG’s North & Midlands team. He works with local communities and their elected representatives to understand the need for and build acceptance of changes to the local built environment.

Adam heads up our Midlands team with over a decade of experience working in political communications and stakeholder engagement. Prior to working for BECG, Adam was a local councillor and led the office of a West Midlands Member of Parliament.
Adam has a well-established network of contacts across the region, from MPs to councillors and council leaders. He understands the political landscape facing developers and how best to engage with local stakeholders and the wider community.
Adam has worked for many of the region’s largest developers including Aldi, Cala Homes, St Modwen and McDonald’s. He has significant experience working on both TCPA applications and strategic land promotion and is currently advising several clients on the promotion of residential and employment sites.
He has recently supported the team at Cole Waterhouse secure a unanimous planning decision from Birmingham City Council for a £250million regeneration scheme in Digbeth.

With over 15 years’ experience in both ‘in house’ and ‘agency’ environments, Charli is a passionate creative leader with a proven track record of delivering successful campaigns from conception to completion whilst leading, expanding and mentoring teams of creatives. Here at BECG as Head of Design, she utilises her previous experience working within various industries (including automotive, financial, television and sport) to shape strategy and deliver exciting, innovative solutions.
She is also a published creative having been both featured in and written for various design magazines including Advanced Photoshop & Photoshop Creative and has spent time working in the US whilst managing an international network of agencies and creatives for a global Sports corporation.

Rebecca joins BECG following a career in local government and now heads up our work in the East Midlands, helping to support clients navigate the changing political environment of the three major cities and surrounding counties.
After serving as a political advisor at Nottingham City Council and working within politics for the Labour Party, Rebecca was elected as a City Councillor in Nottingham and served in the Cabinet. Rebecca was most recently the Portfolio Holder for Skills, Growth and Economic Development covering a wide range of council services, including employment and growth. Rebecca has a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Nottingham.
She is an experienced communicator, having previously led the communications for a national charity.

Alex joined BECG’s Birmingham-based team two years ago and works with clients across the Midlands. Through his work with developers including McCarthy Stone, St Modwen and Fusion Students, he has experience of working across the property lifecycle, from planning through to construction.
His focus on political and stakeholder engagement has given him a strong network of contacts across the Midlands region.

Martha is an experienced communications professional having previously worked in the education sector and for the NHS. She can build strong relationships with a vast array of stakeholders and lead communications campaigns across multiple platforms.
During the pandemic she worked in NHS communications, leading on several strategic pieces of work in the Midlands region. At BEGC, Martha advises some of the region’s biggest developers on their communication plans, including St Modwen and Cala Homes.

Jonny has over 5 years’ experience working in community engagement. He understands diverse communities and how best to communicate with different groups of people.
Jonny has sound knowledge of the Midlands region and currently supports several residential developers on strategic land sites and planning applications. He can lead the development of a projects narrative and story that will resonate with the target audience.

Alexander joined BECG in 2021 from university. He has quickly become an integral part of the project team, supporting client projects with key insights and research about stakeholders and communities. He has experience in managing and monitoring social media campaigns on controversial developments.
He currently supports several of the largest developers across the region to engage with politicians and the wider community.

Oscar joined BECG in 2022 after graduating university. Oscar has since become a key member of the team, supporting multiple clients across several projects. He is experienced in undertaking political research and has a keen interest in the politics of the region and therefore able to offer a valuable contribution to projects.
He currently supports projects from a variety of clients including house builders, retailers and commercial developers. He plays a key role in our work with Birmingham Airport.
