BECG is helping PRmoment launch a new property sector network for in-house communicators. This networking group will meet regularly to discuss topics of interest in the sector and share thinking and experiences. The first event on November 11th will focus on ‘Communications post Grenfell: the implications of the Building Safety Bill for the property sector’.

The Government’s Building Safety Bill, drafted in response to the recommendations of the Dame Judith Hackitt review into the Grenfell fire, is making its way through Parliament and could become law by 2021. Once enacted it will see the biggest changes to building safety in 40 years with every stage of the property cycle from planning, to construction, to occupation being fundamentally affected.

BECG Board Director, Julius Duncan, will present the findings of research conducted by BECG and Inside Housing in to the communications challenges of building safety before breaking into smaller groups for discussions under the Chatham House Rule, where you can chat to a number of in-house peers.

The virtual event on 11th November will take the following format:

12:45  – “Arrival” of guests

12:50  –  Welcome and introductions

12:55  – Presentation

13:10 – Group discussions

13:45  – Conclusions, thanks and close of the event
