We’re looking forward to joining Stride Treglown for the Big Ideas Southampton walk and talk event on 7 October. The event is part of our joint Big Ideas Project to reimagine Southampton and part of Stride Treglown’s Climate Action Relay, an eight-week programme of events counting down to COP26 in partnership with TODD Architects and Keppie.
Join us at Guildhall Square from 16:30 for a walk, led by landscape architect Hannah Glanville, we’ll be taking a 5k city centre walk to discuss opportunities within the city fabric to turn grey to green and improve biodiversity, create place for art work and provide more attractive places for diverse communities to come together.
Following the walk there will be an opportunity to carry on the discussion over a drink in Guildhall Square.
We will be using #BigIdeasSoton, #SO25, #ClimateActionRelay and #CountdowntoCOP26 across our social media platforms and will encourage as many people as possible to get involved in the debate to make Southampton greener. Those joining us on the walk are encouraged to capture pictures and share with us on social to spark conversations and showcase their fantastic ideas.
We’ll also encourage anyone who has a great idea to share with us as part of our Big Ideas Project, for a chance to feature in a book set to be published later this year.
