BECG is proud to announce that it is embarking on a second year of partnership with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, the UK’s only charity providing financial and emotional support to the construction community and their families.

With clients spanning the built environment sector, BECG is committed to helping The Lighthouse Club raise awareness of its services and break down barriers to mental health advice and support.

The Covid-19 lockdown situation has had a profound impact on mental health across sectors, and it is believed that we are yet to understand the full extent of the challenges on construction workforces across the UK.

The Lighthouse Club provides a 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline, alongside a supporting app, and has helped more than 1,600 families in crisis over the past year, including:

  • Emergency financial aid
  • Support on legal, tax and debt management matters
  • Advice on welfare and mental wellbeing

Speaking about the partnership, BECG CEO, Stephen Pomeroy said:

We are proud that we are able to support the fantastic work of The Lighthouse Club for a second year. The support they offer the industry is outstanding and makes a huge impact on people when they most need it.

Homes and infrastructure are vital for the UK’s social and economic prosperity and we believe the network of support for those so vital to this sector is essential to its success. Established charitable support such as that provided via The Lighthouse Club is fundamental to keeping Britain building.

Each of BECG’s offices has a fully trained mental health first aider and all employees have access to a range of benefits to aid work / life balance and support wellbeing.
