For the fourth year running, we have successfully completed the PRCA’s Communications Management Standard (CMS) audit, meaning our work meets the highest standards of PR excellence and professionalism.

The CMS is based on ISO 9001 and Investors in People, with criteria specifically tailored to the needs of public relations consultancies. Nine business areas were audited, including our approach to continuous business improvement, campaign management, client satisfaction, people management, and diversity.

Carol Magill, the CMS Assessor who completed our audit, said:

Congratulations to BECG for their fourth year of CMS. The Agency provided a very thorough and comprehensive response to the audit.

The benchmarking subsection evidence was comprehensive as this organisation uses a variety of methods to compare their overall performance against competitors. The PRCA benchmarking on salary is in use, and external reports looking at wider HR issues, including flexible working and parental leave, were provided.

The evidence around client satisfaction was very strong as it shows that there is a forensic examination of clients’ views of the agency’s performance. On financial information, it is clear that a very close eye is kept on servicing issues, with feedback reaching teams to ensure that members are not overburdened or under-resourced, and there is an acute awareness around profitability especially between different accounts/business areas.

Stephen Pomeroy, CEO of BECG, said:

As one of the UK’s leading communications consultancies, it’s critical that we maintain the highest standards of quality and process. I’m proud that, for the fourth year, we have been recognised for our thorough approach across all aspects of our business.
